SALVATION

 

"Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven given among men by which we we must be saved" Acts 4:12 NKJV

Neither is there salvation in any other - No kind of healing, whether for body or soul, can come through any but him who is called Jesus. The spirit of health resides in him; and from him alone its influences must be received.

For there is none other name - Not only no other person, but no name except that divinely appointed one, by which salvation from sin can be expected - none given under heaven - no other means ever devised by God himself for the salvation of a lost world. All other means were only subordinate, and referred to him, and had their efficacy from him alone. He was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world; and no man ever came, or can come, to the Father but by him. "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins" Matthew 1:21 NKJV

Is Jesus your Lord? Is Jesus the name above all names in your life? Is Jesus your Savior? If not, then please reconsider, for the Bible says: "Salvation is found in no one else."

Thank you, Almighty God, for choosing to share your grace with me in Jesus. May I never take the precious name of Jesus in vain. May Jesus himself come and reign as Lord in my heart and in my life. May Jesus be seen in the way I treat others. May Jesus know that there is no other rival for my allegiance to him. In that precious name of Jesus, your Son and my Savior, I pray. Amen.

SOBERANÍA

Romanos 9:15
"Pues a Moisés dice: Tendré misericordia del que yo tenga misericordia, y me compadeceré del que yo me compadezca"

En estas palabras, el Señor, de la manera más simple, reclama el derecho de dar o de retener su misericordia de acuerdo con su propia voluntad soberana. Como la prerrogativa de la vida y la muerte recae en el monarca, así el Juez de toda la tierra tiene derecho a perdonar o condenar al culpable, como pueda parecer mejor a su vista. Los hombres por sus pecados han perdido todo derecho sobre Dios; merecen perecer por sus pecados, y si todos lo hacen, no tienen motivo para quejarse. Si el Señor interviene para salvar a alguno, puede hacerlo si no se frustran los fines de la justicia; pero si Él juzga que lo mejor es dejar a los condenados a sufrir la sentencia justa, nadie puede acusarlo por esto. 

Locos e insolentes son todos esos discursos sobre los derechos de los hombres a estar todos en el mismo plano; ignorantes, si no peores, son esas disputas contra la gracia discriminatoria, que no son sino las rebeliones de la orgullosa naturaleza humana contra la corona y el cetro de Jehová. Cuando somos llevados a ver nuestra completa ruina y desierto, y la justicia del veredicto divino contra el pecado, ya no nos ofende la verdad de que el Señor no está obligado a salvarnos; no murmuramos si Él elige salvar a otros, como si nos estuviera haciendo daño; si se digna mirarnos, será su propio acto gratuito de bondad inmerecida, por el cual siempre bendeciremos su nombre.

¿Cómo adorarán los que son sujetos de la elección divina, la gracia de Dios? No tienen espacio para jactarse, porque la soberanía los excluye más efectivamente. Solo la voluntad del Señor es glorificada, y la misma noción del mérito humano es arrojada al eterno desprecio. No hay doctrina más humilde en las Escrituras que la de la soberana voluntad de Dios, ninguna más promueve la gratitud y, en consecuencia, ninguna más santificadora.

Los creyentes no deben tenerle miedo, sino regocijarse con Él en adoración.

Living a Focused Life

 

Great achievers stay focused on their goal. They are so single-minded that they are often considered fanatics. They filter out the extraneous and hone in on their target like a laser, while all around them others live lives cluttered with much-talked – about projects that never get off the ground.

Paul's calling was his life's obsession. "I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God... is calling" Philippians 3:13-14.  It preoccupied him so much that all other interests paled into insignificance. He permitted nothing and no one to sidetrack him from winning.

He wrote, "Fight the good fight of the faith" 1 Timothy 6:12.  He knew it wasn't enough to be strong in faith, you must also be strong in the "fight." Sometimes fear, criticism and past failure dictate our direction and we drift aimlessly through our days. The future encroaches on us, looking more like the past. We "oil the wheels that squeak the loudest," hoping for life to favor us. But it doesn't work!

Like Paul, successfully walking in God's will and following His direction...

• Takes focus. And focus doesn't just happen – you must direct it.
• Takes single focus. "I focus on this one thing."
• Takes forgetting past failures.
• Takes intense anticipation of future success. "Looking forward to what lies ahead."
• Takes a full-on defense. "I press on to reach the end of the race."

COMO UN ANCHO RÍO

Isaías 33:21
"Porque ciertamente allí será Jehová para con nosotros fuerte, lugar de ríos, de arroyos muy anchos, por el cual no andará galera de remos, ni por él pasará gran nave."

Los grandes ríos y arroyos producen fertilidad y abundancia en la tierra. Los lugares cercanos a los ríos anchos son notables por la variedad de sus plantas y sus abundantes cosechas. Dios es todo esto para su Iglesia. Tener a Dios ella da abundancia. ¿Qué puedes pedir que Él no te dé? ¿Quieres el pan de la vida? Se cae como el maná del cielo. ¿Quieres refrescantes corrientes? La roca te sigue, y esa Roca es Cristo. Si sufres, no es por su falta de bendición. 

Nuestro glorioso Señor es para nosotros un lugar de abundancia celestial. A través de nuestro Redentor, tenemos la riqueza del Calvario, los tesoros del pacto, las riquezas de su Palabra, las reservas de la eternidad, todo viene a nosotros por la amplia corriente de nuestro misericordioso Señor. A través de nuestro glorioso Señor, tenemos relación con los ángeles; comunión con los espíritus brillantes lavados en sangre, que cantan delante del trono; más aún, tenemos comunión con el Infinito. Los grandes ríos y arroyos están especialmente destinados a exponer la idea de seguridad. Los ríos eran de antaño una defensa. ¡Oh! amado, ¡Qué defensa es Dios para su Iglesia! El diablo no puede cruzar este ancho río de Dios. Cómo desearía poder cambiar la corriente, pero no temas, porque Dios permanece inmutablemente igual. 

El diablo puede molestarnos, pero no puede destruirnos; ninguna galera con remos invadirá nuestro río, ni la galante nave pasará por allí. Nuestro Dios es nuestra seguridad, no naufragaremos, si navegamos junto a Él.

LEVANTA TU VOZ

Isaías 40:9
"Súbete sobre un monte alto, anunciadora de Sion; levanta fuertemente tu voz, anunciadora de Jerusalén; levántala, no temas; di a las ciudades de Judá: !!Ved aquí al Dios vuestro!"

Cada creyente debe estar sediento de Dios, del Dios viviente, y deseando subir al monte del Señor, y verlo cara a cara. No debemos descansar en las brumas del valle cuando la cumbre del Tabor nos espera. Mi alma tiene sed de beber en lo profundo de la copa que está reservada para aquellos que alcanzan la cima de la montaña, y bañan su sonrisa en el cielo. ¡Cuán puros son los rocíos de las colinas, cuán fresco es el aire de la montaña, cuán rica es la vida de los habitantes de la montaña, cuyas ventanas miran hacia la Nueva Jerusalén! 

Muchos santos se contentan con vivir como los hombres en las minas de carbón, que no ven el sol; comen polvo como la serpiente cuando pueden probar la carne celestial de los ángeles; se contentan con usar el atuendo del minero cuando pueden ponerse la túnica del rey; las lágrimas arruinan sus rostros cuando podrían ungirlos con aceite celestial. Estoy sorprendido de que muchos creyentes están cómodos en una mazmorra cuando podría caminar sobre el techo del palacio y ver la tierra hermosa y el Líbano...

¡Oh creyente! Desecha esa pereza, ese letargo, esa frialdad o lo que sea que interfiera con el amor puro y casto hacia Cristo, el esposo de tu alma. Haz de la fuente, el centro y la circunferencia del rango de deleite de tu alma. No vivas en las tierras bajas de la esclavitud ahora que la libertad de la montaña te es conferida. Descansa ya no satisfecho con tus logros enanos, sino avanza hacia cosas más sublimes y celestiales. Aspira a una vida más elevada, más noble, más plena. ¡Hacia arriba al cielo! ¡Más cerca de Dios!

"¿Cuándo vendrás a mí, Señor? ¡Oh, ven, mi Señor  querido! Acércate, acércate, más cerca todavía, soy bendito cuando estás cerca".
